About D. Grant Ltd.

Sky Grant is the second generation owner of the high-end men's clothing store D. Grant Ltd.  His father, Dale Grant, is the  founder who opened the store in 1988 at its original location in Foothill Village. The second location was opened 10 years ago at The Gateway.

Dale's career began in the 1950's when he began working for Florsheim Shoes in downtown Sale Lake City while working his way through school.  At age 20 Dale was approached by the manager of Adler Sock Co. who was impressed by his abilities as a salesman and offered him a position representing the Adler Sock line.  The opportunity seemed attractive and Dale accepted.  He did extremely well and went on to become regional sales manager and then opened his first retail store, The Lady and The Gentry.

Sky began working for Dale in high school.  He was an All-State athlete in baseball and later played for BYU, following in the footsteps of Dale who was also a running-back for BYU's football team in the 1950s.  Dale taught Sky that in order to stay ahead you must out work, out hustle and out think the next guy.  D. Grant Ltd. has been a success for twenty-two years because of just that kind of work ethic.  When asked why business has been doing so well Dale answered, "Because good taste is timeless," he said, "My job is to help our clients dress tastefully."

 D. Grant Ltd. has withstood the test of time partly because of Sky and Dale's good working relationship, but also because they have a real passion for finer clothing.  Their men's shop only carries the finest clothing lines and they know that real success only comes when the customer has a terrific shopping experience.
